Volunteer Projects

The ESA Executive would like to extend a sincere THANK YOU to all our volunteers!!!

We are happy to announce ESA's first Volunteer project is in the planning stage. Listen to VOCM & CBC radio for our public service announcements, as well as The Advertiser promotional and Roger's TV segments concerning the event over the next couple of weeks.

In case you haven't heard the news; take a moment to learn the latest.

At the November, 13th public meeting a group of Members agreed to become a part of a new "Volunteer Initiative" being implemented by the ESA Executive.  On Tuesday  November 20th the group will be meeting for the first time to complete the planning details of a fundraising activity scheduled for December 1st, 2007.

The goal of the "Volunteer Initiative" is to create a healthy volunteer base that can assist the Executive in sustaining an economically feasible volunteer snowmobile club.

As you all know, Volunteers are a fundamental part the ESA's ability to maintain over 400+ kms of groomed snowmobile trails by helping out where and when they can.

The "Volunteer Initiative" is not meant to commit people to hours of work or unguided assistance, but to foster a better understanding throughout a willing volunteer base, of the  operational side of the Exploits Snowmobile Organization's objectives. The goal this year is to get a feel for things people would be willing to do. For example, we have a number of people willing to put up signs around trails close to their cabins, and others who enjoy the woods and want to assist with trail cleanup and development. We also have people who want to help with fund raisers flipping burgers, making posters or selling tickets. People of all ages and locations get to help in a way they feel comfortable, and in the end that's what the ESA wants to promote. We want to create a stress free, no guilt system where people can take an 1 hour or 2,  during a season, to meet with other snowmobile enthusiasts and have fun helping your Organization succeed.
