The ESA will refer to these Grooming routes when providing the weekly grooming schedule.
Effective groomer scheduling is much more complicated than one would think. In the past, it was based on timing, operator availability, weather and trail conditions. Other issues include unexpected mechanical problems and maintenance, fuel range, and our efforts to minimize back tracking. Because these factors are continuously changing, coming up with a fixed schedule is a difficult task.
However, despite the reality that grooming operations are significantly affected by these issues, we have felt a need for a fixed grooming schedule to be implemented. It will allow members to "forecast" where and when each area will be groomed, and also help the Club with Operator scheduling to minimize a "no operator available" situation. We do have employed a paid full time operator but we still rely on Volunteer Operators as grooming our system takes much longer than his contracted hours of work.
The following schedule has been developed and is based on a five day schedule. Things like weather and groomer mechanical problems will obviously still cause us to temporarily stop operations but once they resume, we will continue where we left off, and maintain our schedule. Under extreme conditions, that are beyond our control, we may be forced to deviate from the plan. If this is the case, an update will be posted on this site.
