Chalet Days 2008 - March 1st 2008

The Exploits Snowmobile Association Volunteer Committee has organized a snowmobile trail ride day to raise snowmobile awareness and money for the Max Simms Memorial Camp. This year our club will be donating all proceeds awarded to us from the Rendezvous pledges as well as all profits from this Chalet Days trail event.

On March 1st, the ESA will be catering to all our trail riders from both snowmobile Chalets located West at Rocky Brook, and East at Sunday Pond Road. We have teams designated to maintain each of the Chalets heat and serve Homemade soup, chili, baked beans, rolls, drinks and coffee for your enjoyment.

Two rides are being organized, (East and West) to invite new snowmobilers and new residents in our community to participate in this wonderful sport. Invite a friend or family member to ride with you so they can experience the wonderful world of snowmobiling.

  • More details about the rides and meet locations will be released after this weekend.
  • The designated trails routes will be groomed for this day.
  • Feel free to snowmobile in your own groups as usual, and swing on by one or both of the chalets for some hot food and socializing.
  • Spread the word, and mark you calendars for March 1st, 2008 .... Chalet Days 2008 .... Don't miss it.
  • Contact Us if your interested so we can prepare enough food .....  ($2 for a of bowl of hot yummy soup, chili or baked beans and a roll, $1 for a can of drink)
  • Spread the word, and support your club.
  • Break open your piggy banks and bring your change!

If your interested in supporting us by buying our food or making a donation at the Chalets, or you would like to receive email updates about the event, contact us today.

If you would like to volunteer your time or resources in anyway, there are team positions still available to help set up the locations.  We are also looking for a couple of slides that will be suitable to transport the food and supplies into the Sunday Pond Road Chalet. We appreciate all our volunteers, without whom these events would not be possible.

For those of you with Rendezvous pledge sheets, either of these rides will honour your participation in the Rendezvous 2008 fundraiser. All rendezvous money will be collected the week prior to this event at the Feb public meeting .... Actual Public Meeting Date will be released after this weekend.

Thanks for your support this season, we look forward to seeing you in the Trails on March 1st.
